Itzamna Press is pleased to the announce the release of its latest publication, Journal of the Plague Year, a photographic allegory on the culture of death and violence as expressed in the art, iconography and social reality of contemporary Mexico.

Journal of the Plague Year is presented in a limited edition, two-volume portfolio of 36, 11×17 inch archival digital inkjet prints. Volume 1 features 22 color images with an introduction by Richard Pitnick, and excerpted text on Mexico by such writers as Aldous Huxley, Jack Kerouac, William Burroughs, and Luis Buñuel, among others. Volume II features 14 black and white images. Each volume is spiral bound with matching, gold leaf embossed titles on the covers. The edition is limited to 50 copies.
